I went to the Chicago Maritime Festival this weekend and had a great time.

In honor of that, right here are some nautical styles for embroidery from 1920 by Royal Society. (Public domain in the U.S.) No project images with these, alas. I suppose the bird isn’t exactly a nautical design and style but it makes me consider of a Sailor Jerry tattoo.
