I define my art as a modernistic strategy to an ancient Japanese Woodblock style. With an almost, tattoo appear, my art specializes in a multiculturalism, not solely Japanese, it is their style of art that is essential, heavy black lines and vivid colors are the basis.
My most well recognized piece is a 25ft Koi fish scene that resides at the San Diego International Airport, Terminal A single. It was produced by my most conventional way of combining hand drawn and inked boards with digital coloring. My influences are Kuniyoshi, Sailor Jerry, Frida Kahlo, Graffiti
art, and Tattoo art.

Curated By Usugrow
23.07.09 – 09.08.09
In anticipation of the imminent release of his new book "Shinganist", Usugrow has rallied the book’s contributors to action for this show at StolenSpace. Collectively, these 5 Japanese artists will be taking over the walls of the Gallery with spectacular new operates on canvas, paper, wood and felt. “Shinganist” is an intriguing look into the function of some of Japan’s up-and-coming young artists. Straddling the fine line of street art, skate and tattoo culture, although simultaneously drawing inspiration from centuries of standard Japanese imagery.
