Camera – Nikon D700
Lens – Nikon 50mm f/1.4G

Ellie was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, and in the operating for Miss UK Earth. She is very tall, specially in heels and has the posture of a would-be supermodel. She has a way of seeking into the camera as if she is seeking at you, and the thoughts and feelings inside her come right to the surface quickly. I dont believe I could have picked anybody better to begin my model photography journey with, and we stay close friends to this day.
This was my first of 3 shoots with her over a 3 month period, and by far the very best photos came from it. To be honest, it was my 1st true photo shoot with an actual model, as oppose to somebody who just wanted a few photos taken. We were joined for the day with Mark, a buddy of Ellies who also wanted some photos taken. He was a lovely guy and it was his 1st correct photo shoot also. The 3 of us spent literally all day with each other, interspersing photographs with coffee breaks and ultimately wound factors up around 8pm.

I didn’t have any lighting at this time, so all images with Ellie were taken with nothing at all more than an onboard camera flash and all-natural light. The backdrop was either the front area wall or the bedroom!

Most of the pictures had been edited with practically nothing more than Photoshop CS4. I attempted to give the pictures a slightly warm tone by boosting the saturation in the yellow and red channels, whilst playing with the levels to get a slightly high-key feel to them. Back in these days, I was obsessed with higher-essential and consider it was my way of disguising what were fairly ordinary photographs .

Model – Elizabeth
Year Taken – November 2013
Camera – Nikon D800E
Lens – Nikon 85mm f/1.8 D
Place – Studio

Yep, this honestly is Elizabeth. She has dyed her hair brunette and Ive got to admit, it suits her. Before, she was bleached blond and though she looked outstanding, she now looks better.

So, we met at the studio and I couldn’t think how her look had transformed given that I final worked with her. I wanted to capture as considerably organic style photography as attainable, attempting to make the pictures look as candid as I could. So, I whacked the ISO up to something stupid and place a soft, film lens on the D800e. This gave the pictures a sort of organic feel that tends to make, in my opinion, the viewer really feel like they are there. I was there of course and so far Im the only viewer, so maybe Im speaking shit! Anyway, I like the softness and the grain from the high ISO, and I believe this adds an element of mystery.

There is no studio lighting utilized at all, just a window to the left that was letting by way of a modicum of light that brought her body to life. She actually is as well quite to photography. She is a single of the most stunning girls Ive ever met and in some techniques, this tends to make life harder. Its tough to make Liz appear distinct, as wherever you stand, she appears outstanding.
