Ellie

Ellie was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, and in the operating for Miss UK Earth. She is very tall, specially in heels and has the posture of a would-be supermodel. She has a way of seeking into the camera as if she is searching at you, and the thoughts and feelings inside her come right to the surface quickly. I dont feel I could have picked any person far better to start off my model photography journey with, and we remain pals to this day.
This was my 1st of three shoots with her more than a three month period, and by far the greatest photos came from it. To be truthful, it was my initial true photo shoot with an actual model, as oppose to a person who just wanted a few photographs taken. We were joined for the day with Mark, a buddy of Ellies who also wanted some photos taken. He was a lovely guy and it was his very first proper photo shoot also. The 3 of us spent actually all day collectively, interspersing photographs with coffee breaks and sooner or later wound issues up around 8pm.

Lighting

I didn’t have any lighting at this time, so all photos with Ellie have been taken with nothing a lot more than an onboard camera flash and all-natural light. The backdrop was either the front area wall or the bedroom!

Processing

Most of the photos have been edited with absolutely nothing far more than Photoshop CS4. I tried to give the images a slightly warm tone by boosting the saturation in the yellow and red channels, whilst playing with the levels to get a slightly high-key really feel to them. Back in these days, I was obsessed with higher-essential and believe it was my way of disguising what were fairly ordinary photographs .
