Ellie was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, and in the running for Miss UK Earth. She is very tall, specially in heels and has the posture of a would-be supermodel. She has a way of looking into the camera as if she is hunting at you, and the thoughts and feelings inside her come correct to the surface immediately. I dont consider I could have picked any person far better to start off my model photography journey with, and we stay pals to this day.
This was my initial of 3 shoots with her more than a three month period, and by far the very best photos came from it. To be honest, it was my 1st genuine photo shoot with an actual model, as oppose to somebody who just wanted a few images taken. We have been joined for the day with Mark, a buddy of Ellies who also wanted some pictures taken. He was a lovely guy and it was his first appropriate photo shoot too. The 3 of us spent actually all day together, interspersing photographs with coffee breaks and sooner or later wound things up about 8pm.

I didn’t have any lighting at this time, so all photos with Ellie were taken with absolutely nothing far more than an onboard camera flash and natural light. The backdrop was either the front area wall or the bedroom!

Most of the pictures have been edited with nothing much more than Photoshop CS4. I attempted to give the images a slightly warm tone by boosting the saturation in the yellow and red channels, whilst playing with the levels to get a slightly higher-important feel to them. Back in these days, I was obsessed with high-important and think it was my way of disguising what were reasonably ordinary photographs .
