Ellie

Ellie was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, and in the running for Miss UK Earth. She is really tall, particularly in heels and has the posture of a would-be supermodel. She has a way of seeking into the camera as if she is searching at you, and the thoughts and feelings inside her come right to the surface immediately. I dont consider I could have picked any individual far better to start my model photography journey with, and we remain buddies to this day.
This was my very first of 3 shoots with her more than a three month period, and by far the very best pictures came from it. To be sincere, it was my very first genuine photo shoot with an actual model, as oppose to a person who just wanted a couple of pictures taken. We were joined for the day with Mark, a buddy of Ellies who also wanted some images taken. He was a lovely guy and it was his initial appropriate photo shoot also. The 3 of us spent actually all day with each other, interspersing photographs with coffee breaks and ultimately wound items up around 8pm.

Lighting

I didn’t have any lighting at this time, so all pictures with Ellie had been taken with nothing a lot more than an onboard camera flash and organic light. The backdrop was either the front space wall or the bedroom!

Processing

Most of the pictures have been edited with practically nothing far more than Photoshop CS4. I attempted to give the images a slightly warm tone by boosting the saturation in the yellow and red channels, while playing with the levels to get a slightly higher-essential feel to them. Back in these days, I was obsessed with higher-key and feel it was my way of disguising what were relatively ordinary photos .
