Ellie was 19 years old at the time of this shoot, and in the running for Miss UK Earth. She is quite tall, particularly in heels and has the posture of a would-be supermodel. She has a way of seeking into the camera as if she is seeking at you, and the thoughts and feelings inside her come appropriate to the surface quickly. I dont think I could have picked anyone far better to start my model photography journey with, and we stay close friends to this day.
This was my first of three shoots with her more than a 3 month period, and by far the best pictures came from it. To be truthful, it was my initial actual photo shoot with an actual model, as oppose to somebody who just wanted a few pictures taken. We were joined for the day with Mark, a pal of Ellies who also wanted some photos taken. He was a lovely guy and it was his 1st suitable photo shoot too. The 3 of us spent literally all day collectively, interspersing photographs with coffee breaks and at some point wound factors up around 8pm.

I didn’t have any lighting at this time, so all images with Ellie had been taken with nothing at all a lot more than an onboard camera flash and all-natural light. The backdrop was either the front space wall or the bedroom!

Most of the photos had been edited with nothing at all much more than Photoshop CS4. I tried to give the photos a slightly warm tone by boosting the saturation in the yellow and red channels, whilst playing with the levels to get a slightly higher-important feel to them. Back in these days, I was obsessed with higher-important and consider it was my way of disguising what had been fairly ordinary images .
