This is Shelby turning up for our photoshoot a handful of months ago – I told her to travel light.Ok…this is not how she turned up, but she didn’t bring that significantly stuff either. I can’t remember whose concept this was, but the climate was good and the studio boring, so we decided to grab some shots of her in the doorway to the studio..forgot to move the bin! :).

Elizabeth

Do you know that its really feasible to perform with somebody too pretty? This is Elizabeth and when I met her right now, I was particular that I wouldnt get a single shot that was as quite as she truly is. She is 19 years old and has such natural beauty that she comes pre-Photoshopped and in all honesty, it makes life harder! Some models you look at and you know what will suit them, what wont, and you perform to that. You hide their flaws, you emphasise their beauty and you bring out the very best of them and afterwards, you can appear back and feel proud of your self. With Elizabeth, it doesnt matter what angle you shoot, what f-stop, what lighting – she appears excellent, and I dont like that :). The other annoying issue to contemplate is she isnt even a model, she is a make-up artist!!!

Hayley

What a beautiful girl Hayley is. She is not an established model at all, she just does this sometimes simply because she enjoys it. There are a lot of models that do this just to make cash, Hayley is not a single of these. She is so passionate in front of the camera and so relaxed that the images take on a real intimate really feel, as if you are photographing a person you know really properly.

She looks really much like the archetypal girl next door and she oozes a cuteness and shyness that is apparent when functioning with her. I feel she could turn her hand to numerous forms and genres of modelling, but we concentrated on trying to replicate a organic really feel in each the composition and the lighting.

Lighting

This is a weird setup as Im in fact shooting straight into the softbox that is lighting the side and back of her. This stupid strategy produces an nearly reverse silhouette impact and aids both bring her off of the background and give them image a soft really feel. I wanted to really tightly crop the image in camera, and give the notion of a extremely intimate moment, as if we have been intruding. There is also a nother softbox to my proper, pushed way back and lifting only barely, the shadows from her face. I wanted the image to be quite vague and quite soft.

Processing

None truly, apart from adding a quite slight amount of glow to the image and a gum bichromate edge to it.
